The work developed by the CITA-alzheimer Foundation team in relation to the Gipuzkoa Alzheimer project has allowed the recruitment by the Basque Cohort of cognitively healthy or paucisyntomatic volunteers consisting of 408 subjects.

TIn the different evaluations performed during the longitudinal study basal visit taking place between June 2011 and January 2013, a thorough phenotyping of all participants could be performed with the creation of a research platform that collected all the clinical, neuropsychological, demographic, anthropomorphic, dietary and lifestyle information as well as the biological blood, urine and cerebrospinal fluid samples and the functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging donated by volunteers during their participation.

TThe first three-year follow-up visit is currently taking place, to be completed in June 2015.
