5. GOIZ: Design and development of a tool for health education and early identification of AD through user-focused knowledge management and analysis

Principal Researcher: Pablo Martinez-Lage Alvarez.

Status: Completed

Purpose: To design a tool for health education of the population in the early identification of Alzheimer's Disease, based on real stories that focus on the detection of those symptoms that appear prior to diagnosis. This is all performed through individual user-focused knowledge management and analysis, i.e. gaining knowledge of the experience of the participants as a source of information. This information is interpreted and grouped using a valid tool to assist the general population to be aware of the characteristic symptoms of AD in order to facilitate this early detection and to equip them with information to encourage them to go to their doctor when such symptoms appear.
